§ Mr. Hore-BelishaI am informed that the wife and daughter of Sergeant R. Smith, Depot, The Loyal Regiment, were found shot on 10th July last in his married quarters at Fulwood Barracks. I regret that both of them died as a result of the wounds received. Sergeant Smith was taken into civil custody, and the case is being investigated by the civil authorities.
