HC Deb 15 February 1939 vol 343 cc1720-1
62. Mr. Thorne

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how the trade of Tanganyika is divided between England, Germany, Japan, the United States, and Holland for 1937?

Mr. M. MacDonald

As the answer is in tabular form, I will, with the hon. Member's permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Mr. Thorne

Will those facts reveal that Germany has any cause for complaint in Tanganyika?

Mr. MacDonald

I would prefer that the hon. Member should wait and make up his own mind on that.
