Mr. Markhamasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware of the disability under which the Colonial Veterinary Service is suffering as the result of the continued lack of an adviser in animal health at the Colonial Office; and whether he can see his way to make such an appointment forthwith, in accordance with the recommendation of the Lovat Committee?
Mr. M. MacDonaldThe question of reviving the appointment of adviser on animal health, which has been in abeyance since 1932, is at present under consideration. If my hon. Friend will repeat his question in a fortnight's time, I shall be in a position to give him a definite reply.
