HC Deb 14 February 1939 vol 343 c1550
54. Mr. A. Somerville

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether his attention has been drawn to the fact that a recent report of a select committee of the Northern Ireland Parliament emphasises the danger involved in the growing habit of drinking cheap wine; and what action he proposes to take in a matter which concerns Great Britain as a whole no less than Northern Ireland?

Sir J. Simon

My attention has been drawn to the report in question, but I am unable to make any statement at present.
