§ 72. Mr. A. Jenkinsasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he can state the total quantity of unsuitable butter issued and returned in South Wales and Monmouthshire to date?
§ Mr. W. S. MorrisonSince my reply to the hon. Member's question of 8th November no claims for returned butter have been received in the Department from South Wales and Monmouthshire, 1205 and I am informed that whilst there have been some cases of return which have been handled by the area distribution officer these have been in respect of small quantities.
§ 79. Sir T. Mooreasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether in the pool butter sold to the public there is any admixture of Russian butter; and if so, to what extent?
§ Mr. MorrisonNo, Sir. I would add that there is no "pooling" of butter under control apart from the blending normally carried out by the trade.
§ Sir T. MooreIn view of the noise in this part of the House, might I ask the right hon. Gentleman to say again whether there is any question of any admixture of Russian butter?
§ Mr. MorrisonNo, Sir.
