§ Mr. Munro (Lord Commissioner of the Treasury)I have been asked to reply. The Board do not propose to count time spent by a teacher in the Armed Forces as part of the probationary period required by Schedule I of the Code, since the object of this period is to enable the teacher to satisfy the Board of his practical proficiency as a teacher.
