§ Mr. ElliotThe complete National Register, the preparations for which by means of the census organisation have been undertaken in accordance with the announcement made by my right hon. Friend the Lord Privy Seal in December last, will be compiled, when the necessity arises, by the Registrar-General. The engagement of the requisite enumerators has been entrusted to local officers appointed by the Registrar-General, and this is now nearly completed.
§ Mr. ElliotI have no doubt that a number of unemployed persons will be engaged.
§ Mr. MaxtonWill it be spare-time employment for persons already employed, or will it be a full-time occupation during the period?
§ Mr. ElliotI could not say off-hand, but I think it is a spare-time occupation.
