§ Mr. ColvilleSheriffs Substitute in Glasgow receive salaries of £1,750 a year, and County Court Judges in England £2,000 a year. The Sheriff Principal of Lanark receives a salary of £2,400 a year. A revision of the salaries of sheriffs was settled in 1937, after consideration from all points of view, and no change is contemplated at present.
