HC Deb 25 April 1939 vol 346 c956
38. Mr. Thorne

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has yet approved the Special Order under the Gas Undertakings Acts, 1920 to 1934, of the Drighlington Gildersome Gaslight Company, in connection with the pro posed transfer of the Morley Gas Under taking; and whether there are any compensation clauses in the proposed order to workmen for the loss of employment?

Mr. Cross

No, Sir. It will be some time before this Order is ready for submission for the approval of Parliament. As regards the second part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given on 6th April.
