HC Deb 25 April 1939 vol 346 c965
62. Captain Plugge

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether the British Government intend to accept the recommendations of the International Convention in favour of fuel and lubricants in any aircraft on landing being exempted from Customs or other duties, and that on departure, any material used in re-fuel or lubrication shall also be exempted?

The Under-Secretary of State for Air (Captain Harold Balfour)

His Majesty's Government propose to arrange for the ratification of the Convention on behalf of the United Kingdom and to accept the obligations which that entails.
