HC Deb 25 April 1939 vol 346 cc942-3
20. Captain Plugge

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether he can make any statement as to the possibilities of using oil supplies from Alberta in Canada in time of war; and whether any co-operation in this matter with the Alberta Government has been considered by his Department?

Sir T. Inskip

The possibility of using oil supplies from Alberta depends primarily on the suitability of the products for Admiralty and Air Force requirements. A delegation representing Alberta oil interests is visiting this country, and is in touch with the Admiralty and Air Ministry and other Departments concerned.
