I beg to move, in page 5, line 18, after "1845," to insert: for any reference to the council of a borough or urban or rural district, there shall be substituted a reference to the council of a county or a burgh. This Amendment is necessary only to apply to Scotland that new Sub-section to Clause 3 which my hon. Friend the Member for Windsor (Mr. A. Somerville) and my hon. Friend the Member for Bilston (Mr. Hannah) put forward, and it is in place of the proposal on the Paper in their name.

In line 35, leave out "a," and insert "the."

In page 6, line 5, at the end, insert: (3) In its application to a recognised company who make under this Section a compulsory purchase order paragraph 4 of Part 1 of the Third Schedule to the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, 1932, shall have effect as if it provided that the notice required by sub-paragraph (a) of that para- graph to be published in a local newspaper shall also be served on the council of any county or burgh in which any land comprised in the order is situate."—[Mr. Wedderburn.]
