According to the half-yearly list of the Indian Political Service, issued in January last, the numbers of cadre posts held by Europeans and Indians respectively were 92 and 12. All the 15 Indians borne on the strength of the Service were employed in work of a political character.
§ Mr. DayWill the hon. Gentleman inquire whether the recruitment of Europeans has increased according to the ratio laid down in the report of the League of Nations?
