asked the Prime Minister the latest recommendations of the League of Nations in favour of giving support to China in her present difficulties; and what steps the British Government, either alone or in conjunction with other Powers, have taken or are taking in the matter?

As the text of the report adopted by the Council is rather long, I will, with permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT. His Majesty's Government accepted the position as set out in the report and the resolution before the Council. They have done their best to fulfil their obligations under the resolutions adopted by the Assembly and the Council, and they will continue to give sympathetic consideration to requests from the Chinese Government in conformity with those resolutions.
