asked the Minister of Transport the total number of casualties on the roads of Great Britain exclusive of those in which private cars are concerned; and the total number of casualties on the railways for the years 1936, 1937, and 1938, respectively?

Friend will find the information he desires, so far as it is known, in the following annual publications for 1936 and 1937: "Road Accidents involving Personal Injury," "Report upon Accidents which occurred on the Railways of Great Britain," both of which are available in the Library. The corresponding information for 1938 will be published in due course.
