§ 15. Mr. Dayasked the President of the Board of Trade the value and destination of under-water weapons licensed for export for the 12 months ended at the last convenient date?
§ Mr. StanleyLicences for the export to foreign countries of mines, torpedoes and depth charges and submarine equipment, etc., were issued during the 12 months ended 31st October, 1938, to a total value of £404,854. It would be contrary to the public interest to publish the destinations for which licences have been issued for the export of war material of a particular class or description.
§ Mr. DayIs any undertaking asked for or received from all the countries to which this war material is exported that they will not re-export it to, countries at war?
§ Mr. StanleyAll inquiries are made before the licences are issued.
§ Mr. StanleyPerhaps the hon. Gentleman will put that question down.
