HC Deb 14 November 1938 vol 341 c502
73. Mr. R. Gibson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has now considered the question of derelict buildings situated near schools and presenting a dangerous attraction to children to play with loose stones and bricks in such buildings and to bring them on to the adjacent footpaths and carriageways; and whether he has any proposals to make as to steps. to be taken to exclude school children from such dangerous buildings?

The Under-Secretary of State for Scotland (Mr. Wedderburn)

If the hon. and learned Member has any particular case in mind and will give me details, I will consider if there is any action which could usefully be taken.

Mr. Gibson

Does not the hon. Gentleman recall the fact that I raised this matter during the Debate on the Scottish Education Estimates and that his right hon. Friend undertook to look into it and give me an answer; and has anything been done about it in the meantime?

Mr. Wedderburn

My right hon. Friend will be glad to receive details of any cases of this kind which the hon. and learned Member has in mind.
