§ Sir S. HoareThis matter was very fully investigated by the Factory Department and the works will be further visited to see that the further precautions contemplated are being carried out. These consist in the main of extensive alterations of the plant designed to obviate the risk of a similar occurrence in future, and as additional precautions the firm are arranging for the staff to be trained in fire drill and for other improvements in the arrangements for evacuating workrooms in the event of an emergency.
