HC Deb 25 May 1938 vol 336 cc1214-5
68. Mr. Adamson

Transport whether he is aware of the inconvenience caused in Westminster to persons employed in offices by the action of the police in refusing to allow them to leave their motor cars in the streets; and whether he will consider what steps can be taken to provide adequate parking accommodation?

Mr. Burgin

I would remind the hon. Member that there is another side to this question, and that inconsiderate use of the highway as a parking place involves much inconvenience to other road users and to frontagers. With regard to the general question of the provision of parking places, I cannot usefully add to the comprehensive statements made by my predecessor in this House on 8th and 10th March, 1937.
