Resolved,

" That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to increase the maximum amount which may be paid annually by way of subsidies under Section one of the Air Navigation Act, 1936, and to make provision with respect to the remuneration and expenses of, and the fees received by, any licensing authority which may be constituted under Section five of that Act, it is expedient to authorise—
  1. (1) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—
    1. (a) of the amounts necessary to defray such expenses of the Secretary of State as are attributable to any provisions of the said Act of the present Session increasing to three million pounds the sum which the aggregate amount of the subsidies payable under all agreements made in pursuance of Section one of the Air Navigation Act, 1936, and in pursuance of the Air Transport (Subsidy Agreements) Act, 1930, must not exceed in any financial year;
    2. (b) of such remuneration to the members of any licensing authority constituted by an Order in Council under Section five of the Air Navigation Act, 1936, as may be approved by the Treasury; and
    3. (c) of the amounts necessary to defray such expenses of any licensing authority constituted by an Order in Council under the said Section five as may be approved by the Treasury; and
  2. (2) the payment into the Exchequer of any amount received by way of fees by such a licensing authority as aforesaid and paid by that authority to the Secretary of State."—(King's Recommendation signified).—[Sir K. Wood.]
