HC Deb 17 May 1938 vol 336 c225
69. Mr. Morgan

asked the Minister of Labour whether his attention has been called to the fact that the production in certain factories in this country has been increased by a proportion varying from 3 per cent. to 25 per cent. following the installation of wireless sound-amplifying equipment; and whether any steps have been taken by his Department to review this matter in the interests of the welfare of labour generally.

Mr. E. Brown

I am aware of the published results of the inquiry made by the Industrial Health Research Board into the question of fatigue and boredom in repetitive work, but I am not aware that any assistance in this matter is desired from my Department.
