Mr. Woodsasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the statement made by the Chief Medical Officer to the Ministry of Health in a recent public health report that clean raw milk is not necessarily safe milk, he proposes to take this view into account in considering further legislation dealing with pasteurised milk?
§ Sir K. WoodI would refer the hon. Member to the proposals regarding compulsory pasteurisation which are set out in the White Paper on Milk Policy, issued in July last. I cannot add to what is there stated in advance of the introduction of legislation.
