HC Deb 03 May 1938 vol 335 c687
25. Mr. Thorne

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department the cause of the accident at Prince's Dock, Liverpool, on Tuesday last, when one man was killed?

The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Sir Samuel Hoare)

This accident was due to the falling of a roof truss which was being placed in position during the erection of a dock shed. The inquest has been adjourned until 11th May, and I should prefer not to make any fuller statement meanwhile.
