HC Deb 02 May 1938 vol 335 cc500-1
24. Mr. Day

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department which countries in Europe are at present without any commercial diplomatic officers representing his Department?

Mr. Butler

I have been asked to reply. There are no commercial diplomatic officers in Albania, Estonia or Lithuania, but in these countries, as in others, the Department has the assistance of consular officers in dealing with commercial matters.

Mr. Day

Can the Minister say which of the officers are available in those countries if such services are required?

Mr. Butler

I have said that the Department has the assistance of the Consular officers in commercial matters.
