HC Deb 24 March 1938 vol 333 c1366
43. Mr. T. Smith

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education whether, in view of the present lack of information, he will undertake an inquiry into and report on the conditions in reorganised senior schools and as to how far these conditions comply with the recommendations made by the Hadow Committee?

Mr. Lindsay

The Board are kept in close touch with the conditions in the reorganised schools throughout the country, and as there is still much to be done before reorganisation is completed my Noble Friend does not think an inquiry at this moment would serve any useful purpose.
