HC Deb 23 March 1938 vol 333 c1188
27. Mr. McLean Watson

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether it is intended to occupy more than the 12 houses at Rosyth, of which notice has already been given to the tenants; and will he keep in mind the very great difficulty the displaced tenants will have in finding suitable accommodation elsewhere?

Mr. Shakespeare

The number of houses required by the Admiralty at Rosyth, in addition to the 12 already under notice, cannot yet be stated, but the difficulty the displaced tenants may have in finding suitable accommodation elsewhere will be borne in mind.

Mr. Watson

Will as long notice as possible be given to tenants who have to be displaced?

Mr. Shakespeare

I think that a most reasonable suggestion.
