HC Deb 14 March 1938 vol 333 c21
43. Sir Charles Cayzer

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will consider with the object of encouraging Territorial recruiting, the compilation of a list of employers who allow members of their staffs who belong to the Territorial Army to attend their annual camps without prejudice to their pay or their normal annual holiday; and whether he will consider the creation of some form of recognition in some way analogous to the King's Roll of the patriotic action they are taking?

The Financial Secretary to the War Office (Sir Victor Warrender)

A proposal to this effect was previously considered and it was found that it might react adversely on the existing" King's Roll Scheme. My right hon. Friend is quite prepared to reopen the matter.
