§ Sir K. WoodThe number of houses found to be overcrowded in the three districts to which the hon. Member refers was 136, 28, and 147. I am as yet unable to give precise information as to the number of new houses which will be required to abate this overcrowding. No houses for this purpose have yet been completed.

§ Sir K. WoodThe slum clearance programme of the local authorities for the three districts mentioned comprise 75, 140, and 128 houses, respectively. The numbers of replacement houses completed are 14, 50, and 4.
