§ 61. Commander Marsdenasked the Minister of Health whether he proposes to institute an inquiry into the conduct of members of the Barnes Corporation in connection with the sale of the Ranelagh Club grounds?
§ Sir K. WoodI understand that the corporation have entered into an agreement with the directors of the club to 1280 which my hon. and gallant Friend refers, under Section 34 of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1932, with regard to the development of the grounds, and that the validity of this agreement is shortly to be tested in the courts. In the circumstances I can express no opinion on, nor direct any investigation into, the propriety of the council's action.
