asked the Secretary for Mines whether the Coal Distribution Committee under Sir W. Monckton will sit in public; and whether the evidence tendered will be printed and published as the inquiry proceeds?

This committee will take evidence in public except when it decides that it may be advisable to hear evidence from firms or individuals in private. The evidence taken in public will be printed and published as the inquiry proceeds.
