HC Deb 22 June 1938 vol 337 c1080
80. Major Carver

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether he is aware that the activities of the Tower Hill improvement scheme have considerably added to the amenities for the general public in the neighbourhood of the Tower of London; and, in view of this, whether he will expedite the suggested alterations to the entrance to the Tower by removing certain old railings and the brick wall near Tower Dock, which block the river view?

Sir P. Sassoon

I can assure the hon. and gallant Member that I fully appreciate the work which is being done in connection with the Tower Hill improvement scheme, and I am giving sympathetic consideration to the possibility of carrying out the alterations to which he refers.
