HC Deb 21 June 1938 vol 337 c882
42. Mr. Kennedy

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he has now fully considered the representations made on behalf of the burgh of Kinghorn, expressing the anxiety of householders in the burgh in connection with any resumption of heavy gun-fire from Kinghorn battery; and if the efficiency of the personnel manning the battery could be maintained by a continuance of the limitation of practice firing of the 9.2-inch guns with full charges to the battery at Inchkeith?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

The answer to the first part of the question is "Yes," and to the second part "No," but every effort will be made to avoid unnecessary interference with amenities.
