HC Deb 21 June 1938 vol 337 cc867-8
11. Mr. Annesley Somerville

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs what progress the Oversea Settlement Board have made with their examination of the problem of migration?

Lord Stanley

I have recently received from the Board an interesting and comprehensive report embodying the results of a general survey on the question of migration from the United Kingdom to the Dominions, on which they have been engaged during recent months. I propose to arrange for this to be issued in the form of a Command Paper within the next fortnight.

Mr. T. Smith

Does the report make any definite reference to the question of the renewal of migration?

Lord Stanley

I think the hon. Member had better await publication.
