Mr. Kennedyasked the Secretary of State for Air whether his attention has been called to the conviction at Brighton on 2nd June of a leading aircraftman and accounts clerk of the Royal Air Force, Hendon, for cruelty to his seven-years-old son, the cruelty including the taking and holding red-hot coals from the fire; is he aware that a pilot officer from Tangmere aerodrome gave evidence in court describing the convicted man as a man holding the highest character in the Royal Air Force and that a sentence of imprisonment would involve his dismissal from the Service, and that a fine was imposed payable within one month; and whether the man in question is to be allowed to remain in the service of the Royal Air Force?
