HC Deb 14 June 1938 vol 337 cc11-2
20. Mr. Kelly

asked the Secretary of State for War the number of employés engaged in Woolwich Arsenal in December, 1936, and 1937, and the number of such employés who are pensionable?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

Figures for the month of December are not readily available, but with the hon. Member's permission I will circulate the figures for April, 1936, 1937 and 1938 in the OFFICIAL REPORT. As regards the pensionability of industrial employés, I would refer the hon. Member to a reply given on 17th May last by my right hon. and gallant Friend the Financial Secretary to the Treasury.

Mr. Kelly

Is any consideration being given to increasing the number of those who will be pensioned?

I have referred the hon. Gentleman to the reply given by my hon. and gallant Friend, who is dealing with this matter.
