asked the Secretary of State for Air whether any encouragement has been given by the Air Ministry to the De Havilland Aircraft Company to manufacture twin-engined all-metal aircraft?

The De Havilland Aircraft Company are engaged in the manufacture of civil twin-engined all-metal passenger aircraft, and the Department is in negotiation with the company regarding steps which might be taken to encourage the speedy production of this type.
