§ The Lord Advocate (Mr. T. M. Cooper)A report was made to the local Justice of the Peace Fiscal in March, 1938, of an alleged contravention of Section 65 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act, 1903, by the occupier of this public house. Investigations failed to disclose sufficient evidence to justify proceedings, and the charge had, therefore, to be dropped. I have no reason to believe that any breach of the licensing laws is still taking place.
§ Mr. GallacherIs the Minister aware that there is considerable uneasiness in regard to this affair, and a feeling that some wires are being pulled somewhere, and will he take steps to ensure that nothing of that sort is happening?
