HC Deb 25 July 1938 vol 338 cc2717-8
89. Mr. Cary

asked the Secretary for Mines whether his attention has again been directed to conditions in certain pits where men at the coal face work in an excessively high temperature; and whether he will consider the advisability of taking steps to restrict working hours in such pits?

Captain Crookshank

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the

hon. Member for Leigh (Mr. Tinker) on 5th July, a copy of which I will send to him.
