HC Deb 18 July 1938 vol 338 c1799
50. Mr. Parker

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has made any progress in the scheme for building a Crown post office at Hornchurch?

Major Tryon

No, Sir. A site has not yet been secured.

Mr. Parker

Is the Minister aware that for 90,000 people living in Hornchurch there is no Crown Post Office, and that there is considerable local feeling on the matter?

Major Tryon

I know the hon. Gentleman's interest in the question, but we have had difficulty in finding a suitable site and suitable ground.
