asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that the German air force is to be largely increased; and whether he proposes to expand the British Air Force to meet this increase?

The Prime Minister

As regards the first part of the question, I have noticed a statement to this effect in certain newspapers, but His Majesty's Government have no official confirmation of it. The second part of the question does not, therefore, arise, but steps are being taken to extend and accelerate the expansion of the Royal Air Force as already announced.
