§ 53. Mr. Thurtle
asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education whether the names of those persons who signed the appeal to the Board of Education against the proposed Church central school for the Tilford area, in Surrey, were disclosed to be promoters of the scheme or to any other persons supporting the proposal; and, if so, on what date and to what persons was such disclosure made?
The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative, and, therefore, the second part does not arise.
§ Mr. G. Nicholson
Is the hon. Member aware that this scheme is of such a nature that no hardship is imposed upon parents who do not desire their children to have religious instruction, and that local opposition to this scheme is negligible?
