asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in the course of negotiations with the German Government over the Austrian loans, any suggestion was made, or understanding arrived at, that Great Britain would refrain from any new commercial activities that might interfere with Germany's economical expansion in the Danubian or Baltic countries?
