HC Deb 12 July 1938 vol 338 cc1111-2
51. Mr. Mander

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether the changes in British Airways, Limited, contemplated have yet been carried out?

The Secretary of State for Air (Sir Kingsley Wood)

Negotiations are now proceeding with the company for the establishment of certain European services. It has not yet been found practicable to implement the recommendations in regard to the internal organisation of the company, but I can assure the hon. Member that they are not being lost sight of.

Mr. Mender

Has not a new chairman or director recently been appointed?

Sir K. Wood

Not a chairman.
