asked the Postmaster-General the amount of overtime worked by the Post Office engineers in the London district during the past six months, and the number of men involved?

The number of hours of overtime worked by engineering workmen in London during the six months ended 31st May, 1938, was 636,844. The average number of workmen employed during the period referred to was about 12,000.
