§ The Solicitor-General (Sir Terence O'Connor)I beg to move, in page 30, line 23, at the end, to insert:
(4) A return required by this Section shall be deemed not to have been furnished in compliance with this Section unless it is accompanied by a statutory declaration of the truth of the particulars contained in the return, being a declaration made by the person required to furnish the return.The object of this Amendment is to require that the annual returns to be made by renters and exhibitors shall be verified by a statutory declaration, in view of the importance of accuracy in these returns.
