MorrisonThe number of prosecutions instituted by my Department under Section 7 (1) of the Agricultural Wages (Regulation) Act, 1924, during 1936 was 99, the arrears of wages awarded 21 by the courts in these cases amounted to £2,610 9s. 8d., and the fines imposed to £354 2s. The corresponding figures for 1937 were 83 prosecutions, £2,020 1s. 9d. in arrears of wages, and £314 10s. in fines.
