asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the total number of school children in Glasgow receiving free meals as a result of medical or teachers' recommendation for the years ended January, 1937, and 1938, respectively?

The total numbers of children who received free meals in the two years referred to were 12,245 and 11,764 respectively.
