HC Deb 10 February 1938 vol 331 c1234
12. Mr. Tomlinson

asked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the fact that other countries have decided to appoint representatives to a committee set up by the International Labour Office to examine the report of the Washington Textile Conference of last April, he will reconsider his decision and agree to cooperate in the work of this committee?

Mr. E. Brown

The hon. Member appears to be under a misapprehension. On the proposal of the representative of His Majesty's Government the Governing Body decided last week to set up a tripartite committee of its members for this purpose, and His Majesty's Government will, of course, be prepared to co-operate fully in the work of this committee.
