asked the Minister of Labour the price paid per acre for the Pallion site, Sunderland; whether the site is cleared ready for building purposes; and when does he anticipate operations will commence?

It is anticipated that the cost of acquisition and development of the Pallion site, approximately 17 acres, will be about £16,000. The work of acquiring the site has been started, and the construction of the first factory is expected to begin in the course of the next two or three weeks. Negotiations for other factories are in progress.
