HC Deb 01 February 1938 vol 331 cc25-6
59. Lieut.-Commander Tufnell

asked the Home Secretary when the Government intend to introduce the promised Bill dealing with clubs; and whether ample time will be allowed for the discussion of the proposals by those mainly interested before the Second Reading is taken?

Sir S. Hoare

As regards the first part of the question, I am afraid that I can add nothing at the moment to my statements in answer to previous questions on this subject. I will certainly bear in mind the suggestion in the second part, and in this connection I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply given by the Prime Minister to a question by the hon. Member for Barnstaple (Mr. Acland) on 11th November last.
